Good, Bad and Ugly kits from the past – Bournemouth

The 2008/09 kit is unveiled

Good – 2008/09 home shirt
This shirt was a very good one in my opinion. It was mostly red with a black trim, sponsored by and manufactured by the sportswear company Carbrini.
This was a very difficult season for Bournemouth s they were given a 17 point deduction before a ball was kicked due to financial issues within the club. Fortunately for The Cherries, Rotherham United also started the campaign with -17 and it was worse for Luton Town who began with -30 points.
Darren Anderton played for Bournemouth that season and they ended the campaign in 21st position.

An interesting design for the 1992/93 season!

Bad – 1992/93 home shirt
This was certainly an interesting design for Bournemouth fans to have to watch their heroes wear for a season!
Sponsored by Exchange & Mart, the red shirt was covered with white chevrons and had a small amount of black on the bottom of the sleeves and collar.
In the following season, Bournemouth kept the same shirt but changed their sponsors so Frizzell was emblazoned across the front instead of Exchange & Mart.

The ugly away shirt from 1993/94

Ugly – Away shirt 1993/94 season
There’s not much to be said for the shirt made up of pink, purple and different shades of turquoise with blue horizontal arrows!
There was definitely no competition for the ugliest shirt in Bournemouth’s history!
