Good, Bad and Ugly kits from the past – Bradford City

Bradford’s 2014/15 home shirt

Good – Home shirt 2014/15 season
This shirt was the usual maroon and amber colour, with vertical stripes running down the shirt and its sleeves.
I like the shirt as it was worn when Bradford beat Chelsea 4-2 in the FA Cup Fourth Round, having been 2-0 down at one stage. Chelsea had numerous internationals playing for them including Petr Cech, Oscar and Didier Drogba and were managed by one of the best managers of recent times in Jose Mourinho.
The shirt will always be remembered fondly by Bradford fans because of that wonderful afternoon in January 2015.

City’s players working out amongst themselves if the shirt that they are wearing is the worst one they’ve ever worn!

Bad – 2015/16 home shirt
This shirt followed on from the one that I put in the ‘Good’ section and really was quite dreadful.
It was made up of maroon and amber squares and were a number of different shades as well, the squares were darker towards the bottom of the shirt. Such an awful design.

City’s Steve Torpey looks agast as he realises what a shocker of a shirt he’s forced to wear!

Ugly – 1991-1993 home shirt
Bradford City wore this shirt for two season s and that was definitely two seasons too long!
It was made up of amber and maroon diamonds and looked more like something that would be seen on a golf veteran on the golf course and not in the Football League!
