Good, Bad and Ugly kits from the past – Liverpool

Good – away shirt 2008/09 season
Liverpool wore a very similar shirt 20 years previously in the 1988/89 season and this shirt was a tribute to it.
The shirt was very stylish and completely different from other shirts and was popular amongst the fans.
Liverpool recorded a great 4-1 win over arch-rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford in March 2009 in this shirt. It will always be remembered for all the right reasons!

Daniel Sturridge doesn’t look convinced as he models the new third shirt before the 2013/14 season!

Bad – third shirt 2013/14 season
This whole kit looks hotch-potch and like it was made up of different patterns and colours on a computer program!
Luckily for the fans of the red half of Merseyside, the shirt only stuck around for a season but was the subject of ridicule from fans of other clubs!

Ugly – away shirt 1995/96
Ah yes, the Spice Boys! This young Liverpool team were referred to in the media as the Spice Boys for their reputation at a time when the Spice Girls had hit the big-time.
This side had done remarkably well in the season that this was their change of colours, reaching the FA Cup Final and ending the season third in the Premiership. I won’t mention what happened in the Cup Final for those Liverpool fans who may have not got over it!
