Hello, my name is Chris and I am writing this blog because of my love for all things football.
I support Arsenal and Aldershot Town and am the fifth generation of Arsenal fans in my family! I have even managed to convince my daughters to like football so the tradition of football has carried on another generation! The photo at the top of this page is me with my daughter standing on the East Bank at Aldershot.

I started watching football at around the age of six and went to my first match in March 1993 when Arsenal beat Southampton 4-3. I went to my first Aldershot game the following year and have followed them home and away, going all over the country watching them.

Writing about football has been a great way of putting all of my knowledge about the game to good use. When I was young , I used to spend hours reading books about the game and also started to collect programmes and memorabilia.
I sold my collection of programmes a few years ago but still have one for every game that I’ve ever been to and they take up a lot of space!
I also have every issue of When Saturday Comes magazine apart from one issue. The elusive issue is number 250 (the December 2007 issue) so if you have a spare copy (or know someone that does!), please let me know.

I hope that you enjoy reading the blog as much as I enjoy writing it and putting it all together. There are a lot of articles already on here about all sorts of different clubs, so there should be something for everyone no matter who you support.

I have a lot of exciting plans for this blog and already have many interviews with former players lined up. An interview with a different person from the game is published every Friday evening.
